As a native of San Diego, I grew up frequenting southern California theme parks, visiting construction sites with my dad, an architect, and spending lots of time in a variety of art-based extracurricular activities. While attending school in San Diego for a degree in Graphic Design, I worked in Multimedia Services at the Fleet Science Center where I experienced a hands-on approach to design — working on exhibits, educational materials, and marketing. Upon graduating, I moved up the coast to Los Angeles to work for The Walt Disney Company.

While I left Disney in 2014, I returned in 2021 through an acquisition, and currently have the role of Sr. Manager, Visual Communications for Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution. (That’s the segment of Disney where streaming, film theatrical distribution, music, and TV network operations live.) My role is to assist our communicators in creating pixel-perfect visuals to accompany storytelling and communications.

Prior to joining Disney, I was at Hulu as Manager, Visual Communications, overseeing internal design and culture brand-work. Projects include company-wide initiatives, executive design support, digital communication signage, email communications, events, and Hulu Careers social platforms.

Before Hulu, I was part of the team at BLT Communications as an Art Director, focusing on digital creative for Broadway productions — The Book of Mormon, A Delicate Balance, Larry David’s Fish in the Dark — and campaigns for Hulu, Netflix, and Disney.

And prior my time with BLT, I enjoyed the magic of The Walt Disney Company from 2006 – 2014 as Manager, Graphic Design for Disney Corporate Creative Resources, an in-house creative agency within Disney. Our clients included D23 (The Official Disney Fan Club) and Walt Disney Archives, as well as supporting a number of corporate initiatives like Internal Communications, HR, Disney Citizenship, Disney VoluntEARS, and Global Diversity, as well as creative needs for executive leadership.

I currently reside in Los Angeles with my husband, Tim, and two cats Hunter and Fig. My favorite pastimes when I’m away from the computer are cooking (instant gratification!), spending time with friends, my nieces, and hiking around southern California. (I’ve convinced myself hiking includes walking around Disney theme parks. As of 2017, I have visited all 12 parks around the world! #nerd)

My goal this year is to learn how to play tennis… properly.
